Day Two was fairly uneventful. We visited University of Colorado, Boulder (UCBoulder) and Ross met with a couple of professors from Ohio State. Yes, I know that sounds a little twisted, so here's the story.
UCBoulder is definitely one of the schools we are interested in, but when Ross started sending out emails and making phone calls to set up appointments for interviews he learned that a major linguistics conference was being hosted a UCBoulder the same week we would be in town. Well this large conference made it very difficult to meet with any of the people from UCBoulder. Then as Ross was trying to set up a visit with Ohio State he found out that the two professors he was interested in meeting with would me in Boulder for the conference. So he arranged a "lunch date" with the Ohio State professors, at UCBoulder during the conference and we will be meeting with the UCBoulder staff on our way home in a few weeks.
Anyway, Ross's meeting with the Ohio State professors went well and was very informative and has given Ross much to think about and consider. An experience that I think will be repeated often as we travel to different schools this summer. I am so glad we are doing this now, before we start apply for grad. school so we can make sure we are applying to the right programs, with the right kind of professors, where we (Ross especially) can be happy focusing on the right areas of study.
So Tuesday evening we were ready to relax and prepare for the next couple days of driving. We had dinner with Megan and Benjamin, made sure Patrick was happily tucked into bed, and then sent Megan and Benjamin on a date, before getting ready for bed ourselves. The next morning we hoped to get an early start on our drive to Missouri.

I didn't do it...
Hey, I was reading your blog on my blackberry... I clicked something because I was curious (first mistake) then it brought up a box with various things written within. One sentence stated something like "you have marked this blog as having objectionable comment". I tried to find some kind of undo or a way to verify if I had really done that. It was rather unclear, and sometimes the blackberry browser pulls in random text that doesn't necessarily flow with what is around it. So maybe, I actually was looking at the option to mark as objectionable. Anyway, I apologize if I have permanently prevented purveyers of the blogosophere for fear of perusing objectionable content on your blog... although your description of buckets was quite graphic... j/k.
