Oh So Lovely

Ross surprised me with a perfect Valentine's gift. Early Saturday afternoon he walks up to me and nonchalantly hands me this: (Sorry, the picture is lost).

I stare at it in confusion for a few minutes. You see, for the last few weeks I have been longing for a nice long bath to sooth my achy pregnant body, but alas, the bathtubs in our house are like mini tubs and not very suitable for long luxurious soaks. So I am staring at this piece of paper in complete bewilderment as Ross casually walks away. After a moment it hits me - the McBride's condo in Park City has a wonderful deep jetted tub, but could it really be... I mean the McBride's have let us vacation at the condo many times, but ski season is usually off limits and considering that's it's Valentine's I was sure that some other couple (who was willing to pay) must have reserved it long ago. But this is the only explanation I can think of.

Still bewildered, I ask, "So does this mean we're going to Park City?"

Ross casually replies, "Only if you want to."

This takes a minute for my brain to comprehend, "Really??"

Ross just shrugs.

A smile begins to spread across my face, "Really, really?"

Finally he explains that indeed the condo is ours for the weekend. Apparently he asked his aunt to let him know if the condo was not rented out by Saturday morning and since it appeared it would be unused for the weekend, the McBride's were happy to let us have a Valentine's Weekend get away.

It was lovely and relaxing and I absolutely adored the tub with all my bubbles. Almost as much as I adore my dear, dear Valentine! I love you, Ross! Thank you for a prefect Valentine's Day!
