Halloween

I love Halloween. For Halloween this year Ross and I dressed up as the Devil and his Mistress. Ross has some great horns (as you can see in the picture) and I have some cute little sparkely horns and fishnets stockings. We both dressed in black , Ross even sprayed his hair black or at least made it darker since red hair is especially stubborn. We celebrated Halloween by attending the original Phantom of the Opera movie - a silent film, shown on campus, with (amazing) live organ accompaniment. We had so much fun. The audience really got into it, with "oohs and aahs" during the love scenes and "hisses and boos" whenever the bad guy (the phantom) appears. The phantom looked pretty creepy too - we learned that the actor actually used little wires and fish hooks to make his nostrils flare and to keep his eyes opened abnormally wide. Ouch! It made for a truely ugly and frightening look.
