Precious Moments

Life has been very very intense and crazy for our whole family for the past few months. We've moved, had our baby turn into a toddler, found out another baby is on the way, struggled with school, had some major health issues surface with dad (I'll be ok, just took us by surprise and required some life adjustments). Megan and I have both launched personal websites, we've celebrated the first year of our son's life, and so much more. Lately I've been very wrapped up with the Linguistic Summer Institute here and dealing with labs, software installs, getting projectors to the right place, helping people get settled in and dealing with everything else involved with 120 visiting faculty and almost 300 visiting students to our campus. Lets just say I've been a wee busy. This is why today, most specifically this morning was so precious to me.

This morning Kent was with me on campus because I had to go open up a lab. We had a great moment where Kent was in his stroller eating his breakfast (after I opened the lab) and his breakfast was a banana. I started laughing at how silly I am. Here I am sitting on a college campus with my 1.5 year old feeding him banana slice by slice with my pen knife. I started laughing, then he started giggling, then it just crescendos into a wonderful giggle fit for both of us. He was precious. So were the looks we were getting. Memory stored and filed.

Hey so your blog is lovely :) Good to see you are doing well. I have discovered that you can get children to eat almost anything by either slicing it or putting toothpicks in it. :)
