Today in Sunday school the teacher asked us if anyone had done something wonderful for us and if we'd like to share a story, no one did but I whispered to Megan "You said yes" She rolled her eyes as she often does when I say silly things. I don't think she believes what I said. Earlier on our blog she wrote some really nice things for me and I think she deserves to read some really nice things from me.
Megan is my wonderful, my counselor, in a way she is like a Savior unto me. She has saved me from myself. The most precious gift I have ever received in this life was the gift of her love. Now we can digress into theological issues, but I don't want to because that's not the point. Above all else in this world she is my priority.
One day in what seems like a far away time of my life a beautiful, kind, loving woman looked at me and saw past the facade, saw past the goofy grin and saw something she could love.
Why I love Megan.
1. She loves me
2. She smiles, laughs and every once and a while giggles at the stupid things I say
3. She is always patient with me as I tell her anything, from the crack brained business plans to my whacky ideas for how to blow up robots.
4. She forgives me. I am in constant awe how she sees me when I'm down, up, loud, quiet, and at the end of the day, loves me anyway.
5. She cuts the crust off my pizza (I have proof) and then guiltily admits it to me even though she knows I would gladly give her it in the first place.
6. She has a beautiful voice and I love singing with her in Choir.
7. She loves to find mischievous ways of surprising me. Either with presents or just silly things.
8. How she loves to surprise me, she gets a kick out of how I think I'm hilarious, I get a kick out of how funny she thinks she is too.
9. Her love of the outdoors and how she drags me out for walks.
10. How she broke the chains and opened the doors and took me as I am, an imperfect man.
11. Her faith in the Savior and her love of the Gospel.
12. Last but most certainly not least is her willingness to be a mother to our children.
In D&C 18:3 it reads "And if it so be that you should labor all your days in crying repentance unto this people, and bring, save it be one soul unto me, how great shall be your joy with him in the kingdom of my Father!" As someone who feels like that one soul that has been brought to the kingdom by another there is great joy in my heart with that person, Megan.
Love,
Ross
