Just for Me

I woke up this morning to a beautiful winter wonderland! The first real snow is one of my favorite moments as the seasons change and I especially love when it happens overnight. As a little girl I remember getting up every morning after it started getting cold and eagerly looking out the window in hopes that there would be snow. When we went to bed last night the world was brown and dull and this morning I was delighted to look out and find that all was covered in a thick blanket of white glittering snow. Large snowflakes continued to fall and there was the peaceful hush that always seems to accompany a thick snowfall. It was beautiful and I took a moment to admire the beauty and majesty of this Earth.

On the way to church, Ross laughed at me as I came to the conclusion that God must have made the snow glitter and sparkle just for me. Maybe such thoughts come from the simple little girl somewhere inside me, but it spoke an inkling of truth to my heart. God did this for me, all of this. If I were His only child He still would have done all that He has - just for me. He would have created this majestic earth - just for me. He would have set the Plan of Salvation into motion - just for me. Christ would suffer and give His life - just for me. Even if I were the sole beneficiary, all of this would have been done - just because He loves me.

So maybe he did create glittery sparkly snow just for me...
