Multiple Announcements

Hi internets,

We got back from our family vacation last week so we've been out of touch. On one hand it was really nice to be out of touch with the world for a while, on the other I did have several dozen e-mails to respond to when I got back and everything to face (school, work, volunteer-related stuff) so I felt a little overwhelmed once we finally got back home. Here are some neat pictures I took while we were out and about.

So if you remember there were some things we were going to announce around June 6th, it's a little later than we'd hoped but here they are.

First up, we had the first ultrasound of Megan's pregnancy on Friday and found out the gender of our next child! Any guesses? For a hint the baby's nickname on this blog is going to be "Batman". Oh ok I'll tell you, he's a boy! Man, English takes all the fun out of gender...

Second up, Megan has started her own website that is focuses on digital scrapbooking using PowerPoint, The Gimp (Open source Photoshop) and Photoshop. She's also going to be blogging about cool things she sees online and great digiscrapping related freebies she finds. We've been talking a long time about getting her a website and having her start her own home-run business and we finally did it! Megan has done everything for her website and I'm really proud of her (Edit from Megan: The header and background creation credit must go to Jane, she took my ideas and photoshopped them into awesomeness). Third up, I've been going through even more changes. My contract with one of my jobs has finished so I've been looking for work / deciding if we can live on just one part time job as a family. I've also spent most of May really going crazy at the hackerspace, android meetups, networking and basically doing what I want. It's been a blast and I've really enjoyed it but life goes on and now I'm focused on school and work. That being said I've got a new website myself that is about my hacking / android related stuff / writing and also has a more "professional" look. It is like having a digital resume online so that people can see what I can do, get to know me a little bit, and check out cool projects I've done. I'm still in the process of filling all the categories with things I'm working on but feel free to check it out www.savorywatt.com. I am also producing an Android game that will hopefully come out some time soon. My site will be a place that people can read about it / find support etc.

Don't worry about this blog, this blog will remain our family blog and will have more "private" musings than our public websites. We hope you all continue to enjoy reading about our family and what is going on in our family life.
