New Leaves, New Hope

Isn't there just something depressing about January and February. The joy and excitement of the holidays is over. Winter seems to drag on and on. Here we've had a very mild winter which means that there has been little or no snow and everything is dull, dead, and brown. Life has been challenging and depressing. Guess that's why we haven't posted much lately.

But today as I was walking with Superman I saw one little tree tucked beneath dozens of others daring to defy the dull winter and put forth little bright green leaves. This was only one small tree among hundreds along the Boulder Creek Path but seeing it brought a thrill of new hope to my soul.

My little tree declared, "Change is coming! New beauty, joy, and fun is just around the corner. Hang in there just a little longer." And so I shall, for I know this too shall pass.

I saw some buds coming out on bushes on Sunday, when I took my Sunbeams outside to look at plants that Heavenly Father made for us. It made me so happy! Keep the chin up, and Spring will be here in no time. And I like change too! It's great to look forward to.
