39 weeks and still goin' strong

I think someone forgot to tell our baby that he is suppose to be born soon. I haven't really had any contractions, I'm not dilated at all, the baby is still floatin' high as a kite and seems perfectly content to stay just where he is. I have to admit that as I write this I am a bit grumpy  because last night was a very uncomfortable sleepless night and I blame it all on this sweet, happy baby boy. The last few weeks of pregnancy have been the hardest for me. I'm achy, can't move, can't reach, can't sleep, etc, etc, etc... I feel like a beached whale must feel. Seriously.

But at the same time I am relieved that I have not followed after my mother in having super premature babies and I am so excited to have my own little superman. I still get thrills when I feel him moving and I sing and talk to him often. Below are some maternity photos Ross took a week or so ago. I have to say I wasn't sure I wanted photos (beached whale, remember), but decided to give it try anyway and Ross did a fantastic job!

Fun! Were you really blowing a bubble that was "about to pop"? Or is that an effect? I hope he comes soon!

Wow, You look great! Fortunately you did not follow after your mother. You've carried that little guy much longer than I carried any of mine. But I think I did pass on my good looks. tee hee
