We had a long weekend and spent it down in Mt. Pleasant with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a great weekend. We took our Wii with us and tried to teach them to play. Oh boy, that was some good laughs for all of us.
Ross also played pool and chess with Grandpa and was seriously schooled. Grandma talked to me for hours on end. I think they must be a bit lonely.
I did get some good gardening advice from Grandpa while I was there. I am planning on having a little potted patio garden this summer and Grandma and Grandpa told me which plants would grow well, taste good, and store well, what kind of dirt and fertilizer to use, and how to water them and make sure they get enough sunlight, basically everything I need to know. I already knew a lot of the basics from Dad, but Grandpa helped me remember the names of the best tasting veggies. I also got a starter from Grandma's Christmas Cactus and stuck it in a pot as soon as I got home. I hope that it will take root and I will get some pretty blossoms this year.
Sorry, we don't have any pictures of our weekend. We took the camera, but we just didn't get it out.

i would love to hear the gardening advice, megan. that's something i've always wanted to do but i don't really know where to start! :)
Hey Launi - Grandpa was full of info. He said you can grow most anything, what is really important is you have a spot that gets lots of sunlight. Veggies need ~8 hours of direct sunlight. Also veggies love soft, loose, fluffy dirt so make sure you don't pack the dirt in the pots. He also recommended using miracle grow. Either the kind that attaches to your hose or the powdered stuff you can mix up in a jug, but he did caution to follow the directions carefully.
I was not "schooled" by grandpa :) I gave as good as I got! Well, whatever I gave it wasn't enough to win every game.
Megan,
You apparently did get your camera out because you left it there. Your camera is at Grandma's house. She said she has tried to call you but you're never home. I told her keeping it would assure another visit in the near future.
